Currently in my second year studying Computer Science. I'm particularly interested in systems programming and theory of complexity theory.
Work Experience
At Ethicronics I was part of the core development team. This gave me the opportunity to work on low level inter machine communications. I was responsible for minimising the latency of these communications in an environment where jitter was unacceptable. I also gained valuable insight into management, as I was team lead during a critical business cycle this involved assignment of tasks, managing timeframes and designing the 3 month plan for the entire core team.
As a lifeguard, my role involves constant clear communication, client facing communication and the ability to maintain a professional composure under pressure, ongoing training, attention to detail and first aid.
During the first year of my A levels I volunteered with a charity called WooHoo geeks where I would run a weekly coding class for between 10 and 40 people to help upskill adults who wanted to learn to program in python. By varying my communication style, I was able to explain how programs work to a variety of individuals in an engaging and interesting manner to people with a variety of skill levels.
